Our Happy Place in the Blue Ridge Mountains is now YOUR happy place on your next family vacation or getaway with friends in Jasper, Georgia. Along with amenities to relax and entertain at this 5-bedroom, 3½-bathroom cabin, you’ll have full access to a variety of things to do in the 8,000-acre Big Canoe Community. Splash at swimming pools, play golf or tennis, spot wildlife along hiking trails, rent pontoon boats or kayaks at the lakes, steam muscles in the sauna or hot tub, and grab something to eat at community restaurants. And that’s only the beginning!

Back at your Big Canoe rental, just off Lake Disharoon, cuddle with your spouse on the sofa while sipping champagne in front of the crackling fireplace or watching Netflix on the big screen TV. Walls of windows frame the gorgeous trees reaching to the heavens, and there’s a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances to cook anytime and keep snacks and drinks on hand. Enjoy meals together at the dining table or on the screened deck. You can even toss veggies or steaks onto the gas grill on the open deck for a fun barbecue in the North Georgia Mountains.

Living Room
Walking into this Big Canoe rental, you’ll notice a quaint window bench, great for resting groceries or suitcases while getting everyone settled. Follow the gorgeous floors into the open-concept living room that features plush seating, a big screen TV, and a classic wood-burning fireplace encased in stacked stones. A wall of windows lets in tons of natural light and tree-studded scenery during the day, making this room ideal for sipping coffee, chatting with friends, and just hanging out together.

On chillier afternoons, light a fire in the fireplace, pass around mugs of hot cocoa with extra marshmallows or jars of Georgia moonshine, and enjoy quality time with family and friends. For added entertainment, flip on the big screen TV and put Netflix to a vote for movie night. With bowls of movie-theater popcorn, locally made fudge bars, and your favorite beverage, what could be better? If you’d like to spread out, there’s another sitting area in the loft, great for reading, writing, or chatting with a close friend.

Kitchen
Tummy rumbling? Head to the kitchen at your Big Canoe vacation rental to grab a snack, whip up a quick bite, or cook up a storm! This fully outfitted kitchen features stainless steel appliances, plenty of counter space, and an island with bar seating. It’s an especially lovely place to cook because you’ll be able to look out at the trees while preparing and serving meals. 

Store fresh ingredients and leftovers in the double-door fridge that boasts a spacious freezer drawer. Fry bacon and eggs on the stove that faces the living room to keep everyone connected. Bake sweet treats in the oven every night, reheat pizza in the toaster oven, and pop buttery popcorn in the microwave. You can make single cups or full pots of joe anytime, and there’s a dishwasher to clean up any messes!

Dining Area
Ready to eat at your Big Canoe rental? Set the dining table and breakfast bar for mealtimes together. You can also spread out into the living room or onto the deck. It’s so nice to enjoy meals with wooded views, and in the evenings, you can clear the table for board and card games, arts and crafts, or dessert with coffee. The table is also ideal if you need to set up a work meeting or keep up with homeschool assignments while away.

Another place to slip away for a spell is the downstairs den. This cozy space at your vacation home in Big Canoe offers a reclinable sofa, a lounge sofa, and an armchair with an ottoman to kick back and relax. Turn on the big screen TV to binge a new Netflix show you’ve been waiting to drop or sit at the table and toss back a couple of cold ones while dealing cards. Through the windows, you’ll see more tree-studded views during the day. 

Bedrooms
Racing at the Atlanta Motorsports Park, fishing at Lake Disharoon inside the community, or exploring downtown shops demands rest time at your Big Canoe cabin rental. There are 5 spacious bedrooms plus 3½ bathrooms to accommodate up to 12 guests. On the entry level, you’ll find the main bedroom that boasts a king-size bed, a TV, and French doors leading to an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and an indoor jetted tub for spa baths.

Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with 2 full-size beds. Downstairs, there are 2 more bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with 2 twin-size beds (one with a trundle). You’ll also have a futon in another common space in the home in case you want to spread out more, and there’s a bathroom on each level for added convenience. 

Outdoor Spaces
In the great outdoors at your cabin rental in North Georgia, you’ll have wooded views all around, a spacious open deck with seating and a gas grill, a screened-in deck with wicker seating and a table with chairs, plus a patio with a hammock and a bench. Fire up the grill for a family cookout or barbecue with friends, enjoy meals outside, lounge with a good book, and take in the scenic views every day. The driveway is also flat and paved with parking for 2, and with only 1 step to reach the front porch, unloading groceries, souvenirs, and suitcases won’t be a hassle.

Well, you’ll appreciate the convenience of Wi-Fi to stay connected plus a washer and dryer in case you’d like to refresh provided towels or linens or need to take care of any personal laundry while away. Please note this house rental is not pet friendly.

Near this Big Canoe rental, you can hang out at a lakeside beach, fish from a canoe, play volleyball, or enjoy the rock slide. You’re only a short drive from the golf course, basketball courts, soccer fields, and the marina that offers lake views and water rentals within the gated Big Canoe Community.

Soak tired muscles in the steam hot tub or sauna, splash at outdoor pools, play tennis with friends, visit the chapel, explore 20 miles of hiking trails, discover waterfalls, and take the kiddos to the playgrounds. There are also restaurants, reception venues, a grocery store, a post office, a fitness center, and a multimillion-dollar clubhouse!

While some community amenities in Big Canoe are free, others may require an on-site fee — please note this is not included in the rental price.

Along with many things to do at Big Canoe and your amenity-filled cabin rental, you can pop into downtown Jasper, Talking Rock, Marble Hill, or Dawsonville to check out seasonal events, try Appalachian food, sip wine, visit museums, and shop for gifts. 

The Chattahoochee National Forest is also nearby and offers loads of outdoor activities — like horseback riding, river tubing, picnicking, and miles of hiking trails.
