Swimming Pools
Splash, wade, and swim to your heart’s content at 2 outdoor pools in the Bent Tree Community. The Family Pool (aka Upper Pool) stretches 75 feet with a diving board, 5 swim lanes, and a shallow area for the little ones. The Shamrock Pool (aka Lower Pool) is shaped like a shamrock and geared toward peaceful swimming, floating around under the sun, dipping your toes in the water, or reading with ice-cold lemonade. 

There’s also a picnic pavilion, and both swimming pools offer poolside umbrellas, tables, and loungers.

Bent Tree Golf Course
Visit the pro shop and practice area, then swing your best on the well-manicured, 18-hole championship golf course in Bent Tree. Designed by Joe Lee, this par-72 course meanders among mountain bases and past brooks, streams, and even waterfalls! Golf cart rentals are also available.

Bent Tree Stables 
Featuring trail rides and 2 large riding arenas, the horse stables in Bent Tree, GA, invites you to experience the Blue Ridge Mountains on horseback. Book 1-hour, half-day, or specialty trail rides through the woods, alongside creeks, and past a waterfall. Smaller kids or nervous riders can still enjoy equine fun in the arena with carefully led rides by trained staff. And there are seasonal hayrides!

Choose from 4 hiking trails listed below and follow the Spillway Observation Path for a tranquil stroll. 

  • Sallie Doss (easy) — dog-friendly walk to dock, picnic area, and benches at Lake Tamarack; spot original settler Sallie Doss’ old cabin chimney
  • Forever Memorial (easy) — horse-friendly trail with waterfall, natural pools, and Memorial Garden; follows Pendley Creek to Pendley Meadow
  • Beaver Run (moderate) — lake, mountain, boulder, and stream scenery; follows Long Swamp Creek
  • Denny Ridge (strenuous) — wild terrain, mountain stream, mountain laurel blossoms in spring, bench at the top

Lake Tamarack
Washing over 110 acres, Lake Tamarack offers waterfront fun plus boating, canoeing, kayaking, pedal boating, and sailing. Fed by numerous Appalachian streams, this Bent Tree Lake is 85 feet deep with tons of fish, turtles, and waterfowl. There are swings and benches around the lake, perfect for strolls with majestic mountain vistas and lake views.

Cast a line from the dam, a boat, or the shore to go fishing at the lake. Play beach volleyball, swim in the cool water, and sink your toes in the sand beneath a warm sun. And you can enjoy picnic parties at the covered pavilion — with grills, picnic tables, fountains, and restrooms. 

Dog Park + Kids Park
