Red Oak Lavender Farm
Nestled on 5 acres of land, Red Oak Lavender Farm is a beautiful property with a pond and picnic tables on the grounds plus nearby vineyards and riverways to explore. The farm is typically open from February or March through mid-December for visitors and welcomes families to experience the different varieties of lavender and flower gardens and check out their unique gift shop. June is the best time to see the rows of lavender in full bloom! Red Oak even hosts a lavender festival in summer.
Lavender is grown in harsh conditions in North Georgia compared to their native soil in Provence, France, so visiting the lavender fields and seeing so many blossoming lavender flowers is truly a unique experience, especially for the Southern United States. You can also try spirits infused with Red Oak lavender at the Moonrise Distillery in Clayton. And the farm offers seasonal events and classes, like halo making, harvesting, wreath making, and distilling.
