You’ll have the conveniences of home, relaxing spaces, and fun extras — all within the sprawling 8,000-acre Big Canoe Community

At YOUR Big Canoe rental, start days sipping coffee or tea on the wraparound deck overlooking the trees. Then step inside to whip up meals in the beautifully designed kitchen. It features barstools at the breakfast bar, black-and-stainless steel appliances — including a toaster and coffeemaker, a microwave, an oven with stovetop, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator/freezer — and a nearby dining table.

Later, get cozy in the living room where you’ll have elegant sofas, a coffee table large enough for board games or snacks, lamps, and a big screen TV. At night, enjoy the peaceful sleeping spaces that have 1 queen-size bed with an en-suite bathroom, 1 king-size bed, and 2 full-size beds. In all, you’ll have space to sleep up to 8 guests, great for a fun family vacation or a getaway with friends.

Guests at this cabin rental in Big Canoe have access to a lineup of great amenities in Big Canoe — including swimming pools, a golf course, tennis courts, a fitness center, a spa, pickleball, hiking trails, a grocery store, restaurants, a playground, waterfalls, lakefront fun, and much more! You can even walk to the main clubhouse and dine at Lake Sconti. Additional conveniences at this mountain home include high speed Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, flat and paved roads, plus keyless entry.

Living Room
Returning from a day of play in downtown Dahlonega, a few hours of scenic golf in the community, or an evening at a local performance theater, retreat to the living room at your Big Canoe rental to rest for a while. Windows line the walls, offering peaceful views of the lofty trees and plenty of natural light during the day.

Set up board games or deal cards at the spacious coffee table for a little fun together or switch on the big screen TV for more entertainment. Prop up your feet on the sofa and take a cat nap while the chef in your group prepares dinner in the kitchen. And turn on the lamps around the room for evenings with a glass of wine, a few close friends, or a good book.

Kitchen
With views of the towering trees and golf course across the way, cook to your heart’s content in the fully equipped kitchen at your Big Canoe vacation home. Sleek appliances, pots and pans, dishware, glasses, cooking utensils, cutlery, mugs, and more are all provided for your convenience. So, all you have to do is bring recipes, ingredients, snacks, drinks, and hearty appetites!

In the mornings, switch on the combo coffeemaker that makes single cups and full pots of coffee. Cook eggs and bacon on the stove or put together a fruit spread on the spacious stone countertop. Lunchtime beckons leftover pasta from the fridge or toasted bagels with smoked salmon, and dinnertime is great for a baked pie or casserole fresh out of the oven. And when you get the midnight munchies, the breakfast bar is the perfect place to sit and snack.

Dining Area
Whether you’re sipping North Georgia moonshine or wine from a local vineyard, both go better with a homecooked meal in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After whipping up tasty dishes or picking up takeout from an Appalachian restaurant, set the table in the dining area for a meal with family or friends.

In true picnic fashion, this gorgeous wood table boasts 2 long benches, where everyone can sit down for mealtimes together. For more space, you can spread out to the kitchen’s breakfast bar just there or even take your plate to the living room sofas. Between meals, the dining table is ideal for games, drawing, crafts, homeschool, or meetings.

Bedrooms
Splashing at Lake Disharoon, picking pumpkins at Burt’s Farm, or checking out seasonal events will leave you happy and tired. That’s when it’s time to enjoy a hot shower, slip into your pajamas, and head to bed at your Big Canoe vacation rental. There are 2 bedrooms and a loft with cozy furnishings.

In the main bedroom, there’s a queen-size bed plus a private en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a king-size bed and a TV, and the loft features 2 full-size beds. There’s also a tiled shower for added luxury on your mountain retreat in North Georgia.

Outdoor Spaces
Between horseback riding, fishing for rainbow trout, and hiking trails in the national forest, you’ll love having an outdoor space to call your own at your semi-private Big Canoe rental property. Step out to the wraparound deck that’s partially covered with views of the tranquil trees and the ninth fairway on the community’s Creek Golf Course. Sip a cup of coffee beneath the blue sky or a glass of champagne under the stars while chatting with your partner or friend and enjoying the scenery.

Notes for travel: roads to the cabin are flat and paved, and the driveway is paved with a gradual slope and parking for 2 vehicles. Also, you’ll only be 4 minutes from the main gate.

The cabin is just as pictured. Very clean and cozy. Loved being close to the clubhouse and not too far from the Big Canoe entrance. We felt right at home and will definitely stay here again when in the area.

October 2022

This was a lovely cabin which seemed to have been recently renovated and it was very clean. The beds were comfy and the location was perfect! We would love to stay there again someday! I again fell in love with Big Canoe as I do each time I visit. We had two good hamburgers at Duffers on the golf course and found several beautiful and secluded hiking trails. It was a very healing weekend for my friend and I.
