Race Season
Get pumped as the green flag waves and engines roar at the North Georgia Speedway! Typically, the racing season for the North Georgia Speedway is from March to November. Races are held on Saturday nights, usually around 7:00 p.m. 

Classes include Sportsman, Supers, Crate Late Models, Pony/FWD, Mini-stock, Pure Street Stock, Hobby, and Beginner. Open practices are also held at the beginning and end of the season and are open to the public.

Racing Flags
When cheering in the stands at a rip-roaring race at the North Georgia Speedway, you’ll notice a variety of flags waving and signaling drivers on the track. Knowing what the flags mean can be a huge help to understanding the ins and outs of racing. Follow our color guide below, and you’ll be a pro in no time!

  • Green — let the race begin!
  • Yellow — slow down, everyone; no passing for the moment.
  • Black — pull into the pits.
  • Blue with Yellow Stripe — move over for the leader, lapped racers. 
  • Red — stop immediately; there’s danger on the track!
  • White — only 1 lap to go!
  • Checkered — the winner has crossed the finish line; race is over, folks.

Toy Drive
Every December, the North Georgia Speedway hosts a toy run for families in need for the holidays. Donate canned food and unwrapped Christmas toys for kids, then watch an open practice on the race track. There is also a swap meet, ideal for anyone looking for rare parts, racing gear, or simply a unique thing to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Concessions
Not to worry, the North Georgia Speedway keeps race fans fueled with a complete concessions area. Snacks, treats, and drinks are available throughout every race. Bathrooms are also available.

Admission & Parking
Admission varies by season, so you’ll need to check their website or give them a call for up-to-date ticket prices. Swap meets and practice times are usually FREE. The North Georgia Speedway also offers pit passes to get up close and personal with the racecars, drivers, and pit crew! And with 15 acres of FREE parking, you’re sure to find a spot.
