Things to Do at Lake Blue Ridge

Roughly 80% of the shoreline on Lake Blue Ridge is in the Chattahoochee National Forest, untouched and monitored by the U.S. Forest Service. And about 25% of the 65 miles of public shoreline along this 11-mile long Blue Ridge reservoir is developed, where you can enjoy hanging out and spending time with family and friends at this scenic mountain lake.

Whether you bring your own water gear or rent for the day, there are so many things to do at Lake Blue Ridge! Fishing is quite popular as Lake Blue Ridge is the only small-mouth bass lake in all of Georgia, and the Toccoa River feeds plenty of trout into the lake. Anglers might also hook largemouth bass, flathead catfish, walleye, yellow perch, or bluegill. And simply taking in the breathtaking lake views is well worth a trip — at sunrise, midday, or sunset.
