Float down the Chestatee and Etowah Rivers with Appalachian Outfitters Memorial Day through Labor Day, weekdays from 10 AM – 4 PM and weekends from 10 AM – 5 PM. Cool off on a hot summer day with a 30 to 45-minute float or add to your trip by taking a quick 10-minute nature trail to float again! Trips start at the Tubing Outpost, where they have picnic areas and a shuttle service for easy transport. The minimum age to float is 4, and the $6 float fee includes your tube and 1 shuttle ride (additional shuttle rides $2).

Cool down on a summer day with a nice float down the Toccoa River. You don’t need reservations, and float trips are just $12 per person (including float, life jacket, and shuttle ride). Enjoy trips from May 1 – September 30, 7 days a week, from 9 AM – 6 PM. 

Cartecay River Experience

Open Memorial Day through Labor Day, Cartecay River Experience offers two options depending on whether you want a lazy float or a faster adventure. Try the Lazy River Experience (about 1 – 1 ½ hours) on a laid-back day or the Adventure River Experience (about 2 ½ to 3 hours) for Class I and Class II whitewater rapids. Grab your inner tube and get ready for a fun day! 

Chestatee River Adventures

Take a scenic float down the Chestatee River, either in a large tube that’s open on the bottom or in a smaller tube with a bottom and head rest (for kids). Floats last about 20 – 25 minutes, and you’ll take a short 10-minute walk back to the beginning to float again. For just $5 per tube, tubers can take as many float trips as they want!

Choose between two tube rides – short (1 hour) or long (2 hours) on the Chattahoochee River with Cool River Tubing. It’s $12 per trip on weekdays and $16 per trip on weekends and holidays, with price including a tube, shuttle ride, lifejacket, straps to tie floats together, and their key-saver service so you don’t have to worry about losing yours on the river!

Enjoy a day on the Coosawattee River with a fun family float! The Cartecay River flows into the Ellijay River here, forming the Coosawattee River. Watch for wildlife as you float along, stop for a picnic, and enjoy a laid-back day on the water. Adults can connect their floats to kids 12 and under as well. 

Helen Tubing & Waterpark

Take your tubing up a notch at Helen Tubing & Waterpark! Tube down the river in your choice of tube (open bottom or closed with head rest), enjoy shuttle rides to the put in and from the takeout, go on a fun waterslide, and even take your pup down the Chattahoochee River for a float! Rides are about 2 ½ hours, so enjoy a fun afternoon before checking out more in historic Helen!

Rolling Thunder River Company

Rolling Thunder River Company offers whitewater, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing tours on the Toccoa River, Ocoee River, and Nantahala River. For a lazy day on the water, book a tubing trip down the Toccoa River. The trip takes about 1 ½ hours on a normal day, but during water releases, it’s much faster – about 20 minutes. The water release makes the water run much faster, so be prepared! The minimum age with Rolling Thunder is 5 years old.

Open every day from 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Toccoa River Tubing Company welcomes walk-ins for fun tubing trips down the Toccoa River. Tube rentals are just $10 and come with a life vest and transportation to the put-in. You can even rent cooler tubes! If you’re booking with a group, give them a call, as they give discounts.
