Mountain Vista delivers serene mountain views and tree scenes through picture windows around the cabin as well as from the screened and open decks. Not to mention, this cabin is tucked away inside the 8,000-acre Big Canoe Community!
On top of fun amenities at your Big Canoe rental, you’ll have full access to a variety of community activities — including swimming at outdoor pools, fishing off a pontoon boat at 3 lakes, exploring 20 miles of hiking trails, playing golf or tennis, and dining out together. After hanging out in the community, retreat to your Blue Ridge Mountain cabin rental with custom designer finishes. Lounge in the living room with a roaring fire, a glass of local Chateau Meichtry wine, and views of the mountains. You can play board games or host movie nights with picks from the DVD library, Netflix, or YouTube TV in the rec room.

You can dine at the table inside or move your meals onto the decks, where you can fire up the gas grill for a cookout anytime! You’ll have all the tools you need to cook in this outfitted kitchen, including cookware, dishware, bakeware, cooking utensils, cutlery, glasses, and mugs. There’s even a dishwasher, a Keurig and a standard drip coffeemaker, a trash compactor, and an extra-large marine cooler!

Curl up on the plump sectional for movie night with a nice selection of DVDs for kids and adults plus YouTube TV and Netflix options. You can play games at the 5-in-1 game table or put together one of many puzzles. There’s are board games to choose from as well, and a fun ping pong table is just outside!
Bedrooms
Playing games at the cabin, hanging out with friends at the Dahlonega Literary Festival, or splashing at community pools will leave you ready for bed. At this cabin rental in Big Canoe, you’ll have 5 bedrooms — most with TVs! The main bedroom even has a private bathroom with a garden tub for soothing spa baths with bubbles, bath salts, or bath teas. Among the bedrooms, there’s a mix of 3 queen-size beds and 5 twin-size beds.
Outdoor Spaces
Our favorite part of this mountain retreat in Big Canoe, GA, has to be the outdoor spaces! The main deck has 2 sections. There’s an open portion with a gas grill and an outdoor table to cook out, soak in the sun, and chat under the stars. And there’s a screened-in portion that boasts Eze-Breeze windows, a wood-burning fireplace, and an outdoor TV!
You can plan meals at the table, hang out in the lounge space, sway in the rockers with a mug of cocoa by a crackling fire, and watch entertainment together. You’ll also find a ping pong table on the patio downstairs. Best of all, you’ll be able to catch those gorgeous mountain views and scenes of the lofty trees.
When traveling in the mountains, a flat, paved driveway just makes things easier. There is parking for 4, and you’ll only have 3 steps up to the front porch, making unloading suitcases, groceries, and souvenirs so much easier.
Other Amenities
What else is provided at this Big Canoe cabin rental? Tap into the free high speed Wi-Fi to browse local things to do, check emails quickly, and post to social media with ease. Grab a couple of fishing poles to take to the community lakes. And toss loads of towels, linens, or clothes into the washer and dryer as needed. Please note this house rental is not pet friendly.
Community Amenities
Within walking distance to one of 4 swimming pools plus the fitness center, Mountain Vista is a top option for family vacays or retreats with friends in Big Canoe. This 8,000-acre gated community boasts much more though — including a multimillion-dollar clubhouse, a 27-hole golf course, 16 tennis courts, 10 hiking trails, and 3 lakes that offer pontoon boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, fishing, and beautiful lake views!
You can pop into a restaurant for a bite to eat and grab treats at the grocery store. Soak tired muscles in the hot tub or get steamy in the sauna. Stop by the chapel for a visit, mail items at the post office, or plan an event at one of 3 reception venues. There are also 2 cascading waterfalls, 2 playgrounds for the kiddos, and multiple playfields…to name a few extras.
While some community amenities in Big Canoe are free, others may require an on-site fee — please note this is not included in the rental price.
Local Fun
Shop for antiques, visit museums, check out seasonal events, see a community theater show, dine at Appalachian eateries, and more in Jasper and neighboring Dawsonville, Talking Rock, and Marble Hill. Outdoor activities — like riding horses, tubing downriver, whitewater rafting, picnicking, hiking to waterfalls, and geocaching — can be found in the Chattahoochee National Forest. And we highly recommend day trips to historic North Georgia towns nearby, including Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Helen, and Dahlonega!
