About 1 ½ hours from Atlanta and an hour from Blue Ridge, this chalet offers easy access to neighboring mountain towns of Ellijay, Helen, Jasper, Dahlonega, and more. Enjoy visiting local art galleries, touring wineries, picking pumpkins at family farms, and riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway for great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom vacation home sleeps up to 8 guests, great for a fun family getaway, a couples’ retreat, or a weekend mountain retreat with friends. Little Canoe is completely secluded among the trees, but it still keeps you close to the many amenities within the Big Canoe Community. You’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: a private mountain escape and a community stay. 

The living room boasts beautiful finishes and windows running from floor to ceiling. The large stone fireplace makes the room cozy on cool nights, and there is a big screen TV with Netflix, sports, and more. The fully equipped kitchen has all you need for group meals, and there is a lovely dining space nearby. 

Bedrooms offer a mix of bedding – 1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size bed, 1 full-size bed, and 2 twin-size beds. Bathrooms offer showers and tubs, and great outdoor spaces include a grill, a dining table, and a wonderful screened-in deck with comfortable seating and lush views. 

Living Room

Form meets function in the beautifully designed living room of Little Canoe. A leather sofa and leather loveseat face the large stone fireplace along one wall. Enjoy the crackling sounds of a fire during the winter months in front of this wood-burning fireplace. Cozy up with a book, chat with friends, or flip on the big screen TV that has Netflix, unlimited movies, sports, YouTube TV, news, and more. 

Enjoy year-round views in this space where floor-to-ceiling windows frame beautiful wooded and mountain views. Watch the snow fall in winter, enjoy the changing colors of fall, and take in lush greenery in spring and summer. The coffee table is large enough for board games or card games, and there is floor space for kiddos to crawl around or build. Stay warm by the fire in winter or turn on the air conditioning in summer to keep cool. 

Kitchen

The fully equipped kitchen in Little Canoe has all you need to make snacks, drinks, and meals. Brew some coffee to start your day, air fry some chicken for lunch, bake some cookies during the holidays, pop some popcorn in the microwave, and make dinner on the stovetop. The refrigerator has space for fresh ingredients for meals or everyone’s favorite snacks and drinks. Big Canoe even boasts its own grocery store, so you can easily pop in to grab plenty of food for your rental home after a day at the swimming pool. 

Dining Area

The dining room in your house rental is furnished with a beautiful wood table, an industrial-style chandelier, and canoe-themed details. Sit down for breakfast together before heading out for the day, enjoy an easy lunch of pizza, or set a beautiful holiday spread. 

When it isn’t mealtime, make this your workstation, homeschool space, or place for board games and card games brought from home. It’s also a lovely spot for a puzzle on a rainy day or some coloring with the kids. 

Bedrooms

Bedrooms in Little Canoe are equally impressive, with new pillows, new mattresses, and fresh new linens for a great night’s sleep. There are 3 bedrooms in all, with 1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size bed, 1 full bed, and 2 twin beds. In all, find space to sleep up to 8 guests, with extras like dressers and ceiling fans to make you feel at home. 

Outdoor Spaces

You came to North Georgia to enjoy the great outdoors, and Little Canoe makes that easy! Start your mornings with a cup of coffee or tea on the screened-in porch. There are rocking chairs and padded seating, with enough room for several guests to unwind. Avoid the elements without missing out on the wooded and mountain views here.

Or step out onto the open deck for lunch at the 4-person dining table made on the gas grill nearby. Enjoy some sun on a nice day or come here for a drink as the sun goes down at night. Parking includes space for about 3 vehicles, and there are lights along the path leading to the entrance of the home. 

Other Amenities

Little Canoe is outfitted with all you need to feel at home. There is Wi-Fi so you can stay connected, a washer/dryer so you can stay on top of laundry or wash pool towels, a portable crib, and a highchair.

Set between Ellijay and Dahlonega, Georgia, Amicalola Falls State Park offers great hiking and is home to the state’s highest waterfall – Amicalola Falls.

Stop by for tours and tastings with the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains! And be sure to meet their 2 resident goats – Dolley and Mamie.
