There are art galleries that showcase the bustling arts scene in the area, plenty of hiking trails to explore, bike trails, horseback riding stables, plenty of sweet treats at local shops downtown, and lots of ways to play inside at the cabin!

Burt’s Farm

Located on land passed down through the Burt family since the 1800s, Burt’s Farm remains in the family. In fall they boast a pumpkin patch with more than 20 pumpkin varieties. For a day of family fun, climb aboard a wagon filled with wheat straw for a tractor-pulled ride around the farm. As you ride, you’ll listen to stories by Autumn and Gordy – their two most famous pumpkins – and cross a covered bridge that is home to singing pumpkins. Here you can also pick out winter squash, corn, gourds, pumpkin pies and rolls, candied popcorn, and more.

There is always something going on at Big Springs Farms, including the annual Antique Tractor and Car Show. Admission and parking is FREE, and extra activities are reasonably priced. Find the perfect pumpkin in their impressive pumpkin patch, choose a birdhouse for home, get a concrete pumpkin for a forever-fall decoration, let the kids do face painting, check out the bounce house, or take a hayride through the farm that will lead you past the pond and the pumpkin patch. Oh, and don’t forget some family fun down on the farm with Willie the pig, Mac the miniature donkey, Gizmo the goat, and the chickens! They even host birthday parties if you’re traveling for a special occasion!

Sleepy Hollow farm has family fun all year, especially during fall and the holidays! At Christmas, come choose and cut your own tree. In fall, find the perfect pumpkin! Explore the farm with a wagon ride, wind your way through the corn maze, and stop in the store to get local jams and jellies, honey, and cider for sipping at the cabin. Kids also love meeting the animals down on the farm, including sheep, donkeys, goats, chickens, rabbits, and pigs.

A favorite in the North Georgia area, B.J. Reece Orchards is a family-owned farm with plenty to do. Watch cow milking demonstrations, visit the animals at the petting farm, go on a wagon ride around the property, wind your way through a corn maze, or take advantage of their U-pick days for fresh apples. Their pumpkin patch has plenty to carve, eat, or use for decoration, and their bakery is packed with goodies like fried pies, bread, and donuts!
