Beautiful & Comfy Home in a Gorgeous Location!
The home and furnishings were both beautiful. Very comfy and mostly spacious. Of course, the location is gorgeous in Big Canoe. The bedroom pics and descriptions were a little off. Nothing too major, but I would’ve liked to know the actual sizes of beds, etc, before arriving. Also, when we list 11 guests (says 12 is max), it would be nice to have at least 12 towels and kitchen prep materials (pots, pans, knives, etc) for meals for that many. The host seemed to suggest in a response message that more would’ve been brought if they knew (which they did beforehand). We took several trips to Walmart to get stocked with extra towels and kitchen prep (donated the knife block for future guests). Also, heads up that dining seating is limited. The table can seat 8 but only has 4 chairs. You can sit on the porch (when not 20 degrees outside). I had a great time; I just would’ve liked to be more prepared with towels and kitchen prep items and know the actual bed sizes in advance.
Over all a great place to stay!
This was a great place to stay especially in the fall. The house had everything you could want. Only drawback was the driveway is kinda steep and a little narrow to get in and out of with 2 suv’s. It is a great place to stay with large groups, had plenty to do at the house. We loved that it had toys downstairs for the little ones, the hot tub was so nice. Would liked to have had some type of fire pit. The tv/cable was hard to navigate we had to use screen mirroring on our apple phones to watch tv. Over all a great place to stay!
Hope that we will be able to stay here again
Met family here for a weekend reunion. The house is beautifully decorated and immaculate. The weekend was rainy, but we still enjoyed playing games and having a ping pong tournament each evening. There were deer lying in the woods by the house in the mornings. Hope that we will be able to stay here again next year.
