Welcome to Long & Short of It, a newly renovated, warm, and inviting 3-bedroom mountain retreat inside the gated Big Canoe community. With 3 bathrooms, space for up to 8 guests, welcoming gathering areas, and thoughtful comforts throughout, this North Georgia vacation home makes it easy to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a wonderful setting for family vacations, weekend escapes, holiday stays, and last-minute trips with friends.

Step inside to vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, skylights, and a floor-to-ceiling stone gas log fireplace. The open layout keeps everyone connected, whether you are cooking in the kitchen, sharing a meal, or settling in for a movie by the fire. Outside, the screened porch is one of the best places to unwind. Gather around the propane firepit, watch TV, cook dinner on the gas grill, or relax in a rocking chair surrounded by peaceful wooded views.

When it is time to explore, enjoy Big Canoe’s lakes, pools, golf course, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and hiking trails, all just minutes away. For even more adventure, head beyond the gates to hike at Amicalola Falls, explore the restaurants and shops of downtown Jasper, or wander through the 220 acres of Gibbs Gardens in nearby Ball Ground.

Ready to unwind? Long & Short of It offers 3 comfortable bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, with space for up to 8 guests. The main-level master suite gives you a quiet place to relax, with a sitting area and direct access to the screened-in porch. A second bedroom is also located on the main level, while the upstairs bedroom feels like its own cozy mountain hideaway beneath an A-frame vaulted ceiling. With sleeping spaces on both levels, families and friends can spread out while still staying close.

Just 4.5 miles from the home, the historic pink marble Tate House is one of the closest and most distinctive landmarks near Big Canoe. Gibbs Gardens
One of the largest residential garden estates in the United States, Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground spans 220 acres of meticulously maintained grounds.
