Located in the sprawling, gated community of Big Canoe, this vacation rental home has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and space to sleep up to 10 guests. And with 2,5000 square feet, this modern mountain retreat has plenty of space for a fun family vacation or a weekend with friends. 

Arrivals are easy, with a wheelchair ramp leading up to the front door and flat, paved parking for 2 vehicles. Then step inside to the bright, open vacation home that has a blend of modern and mountain details, comfortable furnishings, and an open floorplan. After a big day on Lake Petit, curl up on the plush sofa or unwind in the plump leather recliner. A flatscreen TV in the corner has cable, and the stone (wood-burning) fireplace that runs to the ceiling keeps the living room extra cozy on those cold mountain days. The vacation rental also has air conditioning, so hot summer days are taken care of. 

The fully equipped kitchen nearby makes it easy to whip up meals, with a dishwasher, oven with stovetop, dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking tools. The kitchen also opens to the lovely dining table, great for enjoying meals together! After mealtime, clear the table and make this your game-night space with the board games brought from home. 

Bedrooms are welcome retreats after long days, with a mix of king, queen, and twin beds. Relax and surf the web via the Wi-Fi, toss some burgers or steaks on the grill, and enjoy wooded views as you unwind at your private Jasper, Georgia, getaway. 

Living Room
After a day exploring the miles of hiking trails in Big Canoe, splashing in the outdoor pool, visiting waterfalls, riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, golfing, or visiting the many attractions around North Georgia, come back to Deer View Retreat to relax. The living room features an open floorplan so guests can easily chat while in the living room, dining area, or kitchen. 

The living room is outfitted with a plush sofa facing the flatscreen TV. It has cable and Netflix, so you can watch shows or turn on cartoons for the kids in the morning. The leather recliner will be a favorite, great for afternoon naps, reading a good book, and letting yourself completely relax. On those cool North Georgia evenings, get a fire going in the wood-burning fireplace. When it’s hot outside, enjoy cooling off with the air conditioning here. And with Wi-Fi in this rental home, you can easily stay connected, get some work done, or find more things to do in the area. 

Kitchen
Big Canoe has a long list of amenities for guests, including 6 great restaurants to choose from! North Georgia is also home to some delicious farm-to-table restaurants, chain favorites, and more. But if you love cooking your own meals, or just want to save some money while on vacation, take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen in Deer View Retreat! 

The full kitchen has a stainless steel refrigerator/freezer, an oven with stovetop, a microwave, a toaster oven, a dishwasher, a double sink, a Keurig coffeemaker, a drip coffeemaker, cooking tools, dishes, glassware, utensils, and all you need to cook and enjoy meals here. The coffeemakers and mugs are set up on their own coffee station, so guests can get their mornings started right. 

Easily reheat leftovers, keep ingredients and snacks fresh, have icy treats on hand for summer days, bake holiday treats, and create big meals for your group. There is enough space for more than one chef in the kitchen, and it opens nicely to the dining space. 

Dining Area
The dining area in Deer view Retreat is beautifully decorated with simple yet chic furnishings. The wood table is bookended with white upholstered chairs, with 4 additional wood chairs. Gather here for great homemade meals, easy pizza dinners, or big breakfasts before a day on the water. 

After mealtime, clear the table and break out the board games you packed. Play board games and card games, put together a puzzle on a rainy day, or color and do crafts with the kids. It’s also a great spot for homeschooling, getting some work done, or planning out the day’s adventures. 

Bedrooms 
Beautiful, modern mountain design carries into the bedrooms at Deer View Retreat. The master suite features a king-size bed on the main level, with a nice chair, bedside lamps, a TV, a ceiling fan, and a full bathroom with a step-up shower. Other bedrooms offer a mix of queen and twin beds, giving you great options whether you’re traveling as a family with kids, as couples, or with friends. 

Rec Room
It’s time to play! Deer View Retreat has a rec room for guests’ entertainment, so there are never bored days around this Big Canoe vacation rental. When you’re not lounging on the plump leather reclining sofas in front of the big screen TV, challenge someone to a game of ping pong! With a ceiling fan, deck access, a big beanbag, soft carpet underfoot, and a leather armchair, it’s a fun and comfortable place to just unwind and hang out. 

Outdoor Spaces
As you relax on the spacious deck, enjoy shaded, peaceful views of the trees. Start your day sipping coffee or tea with the trees all around, with plenty of seating spread out across the multiple deck areas. On the open deck, enjoy meals together at the dining table beneath the umbrella or toss that fish you just caught on the gas grill! You’ll feel tucked away in a treehouse with lush surroundings, which transform into a magical fall landscape when the weather cools! 

This beautiful rental home also has a screened-in porch, great for guests wanting to stay out of the sun or avoid the elements. It features padded wicker seating, a coffee table, and a ceiling fan for hot summer days. Sit here with a cold glass of lemonade or a hot mug of cocoa and enjoy the serenity of North Georgia.

Deer Valley Retreat is just about 1 ½ hours from Atlanta and about 1 hour from Blue Ridge, so you can easily take a day trip to explore more. Plus, nearby towns of Ellijay, Blairsville, Dahlonega, and Dawsonville offer even more. 

Swimming at Big Canoe
Summer days seem endless at Big Canoe, where you’ll have your pick for swimming. Spend the day on the Lake Disharoon beach or splash around at the 110,000-gallon pool. The nearby Wildcat Recreation Center offers another pool with a kiddie pool for the little ones!
