Offering space to sleep up to 10 guests, Casa del Lago is great for a fun family vacation, a special occasion, or a getaway with friends. Enjoy days on the water, hiking to waterfalls, visiting local wineries, and exploring North Georgia before comine back to Casa del Lego to unwind. Lie back in the loungers on the sunny deck or have a drink at the table under the umbrella. Chat on the screened-in porch or cozy up in the living room in front of the fireplace. This house rental offers a fully equipped kitchen for your convenience, outfitted with all you need to prepare and enjoy meals here. Another living area has a comfy sectional and matching chair, and the bedrooms offer a nice mix of sleeping arrangements. There are 2 queen beds, 4 twin beds, 1 bunk bed, plus 2 twin beds in the loft. Extra amenities to make you feel at home include a portable crib, a highchair, a Keurig coffeemaker for your morning kick, and a standard 10-cup coffeemaker for the group. 

Living Room

A great place to gather as a group and unwind, the living room of Casa del Lago features comfortable seating, a coffee table large enough for card games or board games, a tabletop lamp, and a TV in the corner. Relax on the sofa, curl up in a chair, and enjoy quality time with family and friends. Teh open space has windows all around, letting the sunlight stream in on beautiful days. And with the kitchen and dining area just steps away, you can easily grab snacks and drinks while you hang out.

Kitchen

While there are multiple restaurants within the Big Canoe Community – plus many more around North Georgia – it’s always nice to have a full kitchen in your vacation home. Casa del Lago’s fully equipped kitchen has an oven with range, a toaster oven and Keurig coffeemaker (plus a 10-cup drip coffeemaker), a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator with freezer. 

Easily make big breakfasts before a day on the lake, pack picnic lunches for a day driving around North Georgia, or make a big holiday feast with family. There are barstools at the breakfast bar, which is a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning as breakfast is made. 

Dining Area 

The dining area is next to the kitchen and offers seating for 6. Sit down for meals together, whether it’s a homemade meal, a snack spread, or just takeout from an area restaurant. Or you could use this space to decorate gingerbread houses and holiday treats! 

When mealtime is over, clear the table and break out the board games and card games. Try a puzzle on a rainy day, catch up on some work, do your homeschooling here, or sit to build blocks with the kids. On big game days, set up a buffet of snacks to enjoy while you have a great day at your North Georgia vacation rental.

Bedrooms

Big days at the lake and around North Georgia call for great nights at Casa del Lago. The bedrooms offer creature comforts, including bedside lamps, ceiling fans, and more. Bedding throughout the cabin includes 2 queen beds, 4 twin beds, 1 twin-over-twin bunk bed, and 2 twin beds in the loft. There are also 4 ½ bathrooms, making it easy for guests to get ready at night or before heading out. 

Second Living Area

A second living area in Casa del Lago is one of the coziest spots in the home. A large sectional sofa pairs with a plush matching chair, and a floor lamp is great for the readers. Turn on the big screen TV here for shows and movies as you take advantage of some extra space for your group. 

Outdoor Spaces

Whether you want sun or shade, Casa del Lago offers some great outdoor spaces to enjoy. Soak up the sun in the loungers on the open deck and enjoy the views of Lake Disharoon. Have your lunch at the table under the umbrella here, made fresh on the grill. 

There is also a lovely screened-in deck with a loveseat and chairs at this lovely mountain retreat. Keep snacks and drinks on the coffee table here as you just sit back and appreciate the slower pace of lake and mountain life. A screened-in deck means shade and no bugs on those balmier summer days. 

Community Amenities

The sprawling Big Canoe Community (about 1 ½ hours from Atlanta) spans thousands of acres and is private and gated. A stay at Casa del Lago offers you access to a huge list of community amenities and lake and mountain views. The community boasts swimming pools, pontoon boats, kayaks, 3 lakes for fishing and watersports, miles of hiking trails, pickleball courts, bocce, basketball, a hot tub, playgrounds, tennis courts, a spa and fitness center, a grocery store, a post office, restaurants, wedding venues, beach volleyball, a rock waterslide, fishing, and much more! 

While some community amenities in Big Canoe are free, others may require an on-site fee — please note this is not included in the rental price.

Local Fun

Outside of the Big Canoe Community and your rental home, you’ll find plenty to do in North Georgia. Take a day trip to downtown Blue Ridge or visit charming Ellijay. You can visit art galleries, pick your own apples, go to the Georgia Aquarium, enjoy farm-to-table restaurants, visit unique attractions, and more.
