This relaxing escape is close to the amenities of Big Canoe while still being tucked away from it all. You’ll be perched among the trees as you stroll the deck for some fresh air, cozy up in front of the gas fireplace, stream your favorite shows on the big screen TV, whip up meals in the full kitchen, or toss some burgers on the grill. 

While the outside of this vacation home offers rustic charm, the inside is modern and fresh. Natural, light colors pair with sleek appliances, elegant furnishings and decor, and lots of large windows framing the tree-studded views. Relax on the gorgeous screened porch while watching TV, brew some coffee before a day on Lake Petit, or come back to just cool off with air conditioning after a summer day at the swimming pool or an afternoon exploring and hiking along the Appalachian Trail. Bedrooms are welcome retreats, all featuring king-size beds. 

Living Room

Stylish and comfortable, the gorgeous living room of Laughing Fox boasts a beautiful wood ceiling, an antler chandelier, a big screen TV, a modern fireplace, a comfy sofa, tabletop lamps, and a beautiful leather chair with a footstool. This space exemplifies modern mountain luxury, welcoming you in to unwind and reconnect with family and friends. 

On cool days, get a cozy fire going in the gas log fireplace. Fall days at this rental home will feature rich autumnal hues through the large picture windows, and summer days are bright and green. When you want to just kick back, flip on the big screen TV to stream your favorite movies or cartoons for the kids. It’s also a great place to read a book and enjoy the peace of Big Canoe. 

Kitchen

Decked out with all you need to make great meals, snacks, and drinks, the fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, dishes and glasses, mugs, utensils, and cooking tools. Brew a single cup with the Keurig or make coffee for the group with the drip coffeemaker. Find an oven with stovetop, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, plenty of counter space for prepping, and a double sink overlooking the screened-in porch. 

Easily whip up breakfast before a day outside, pack a picnic lunch to enjoy with lake views, or make a great holiday meal. Open to the dining area and living room, this kitchen makes it easy for guests to cook and snack without missing out on time together. 

Dining Area

The dining area in Laughing Fox is equally stylish and beautiful, with a beautiful chandelier, simple art, and a glass-top table with upholstered seating for 4. Sit down for meals together — made fresh in your fully equipped kitchen or brought back from one of the restaurants within Big Canoe. 

Enjoy a glass of wine after the kids head to bed, catch up on some work, make this your homeschool station, or pack your favorite board games and card games for family game night! 

Bedrooms

Each bedroom within Laughing Fox is a private retreat, with bedrooms for each and comforts like TVs, ceiling fans, dressers, and more. There are 3 king bedrooms in all. There’s space to sleep up to 6 guests, great for a family or some friends. 

The primary suite upstairs in this house rental offers a king-size bed with a nice en-suite bathroom. The other 2 king bedrooms on the main level also have bathrooms, giving guests more privacy and convenience. After a day on the lake or a scenic drive through North Georgia, come back to your mountain retreat to get some much-needed rest in the fresh linens. 

Outdoor Spaces

As soon as you arrive at your vacation home, you’ll be greeted by the charming exteriors. The cabin is tucked among the trees, giving you a secluded escape within this sprawling and beautiful community. Make your way around the deck to enjoy the great outdoors from the rockers. In fall and winter, you can even spot the rolling mountains through the trees!

The screened porch is a light-filled space calling you to start days with a hot mug or end evenings with a glass of wine. Summer afternoons call for a glass of iced tea or lemonade as you chat and relax in the comfortable seating. There’s a table in the center for drinks, snacks, or the book you’ve been wanting to read. You can flip on the ceiling fan on a warmer day or turn on the flatscreen TV and watch some shows as you unwind. 

An open space on the deck features padded seating and a gas grill for cookouts on nice days. A gravel walkway leads around to the back of the home, where a lovely bench overlooks the wooded views. Bonus: there’s a firepit for under-the-stars s’mores and cozy chats!
