Our stay at the Brown Bear Bungalow was fantastic. First and foremost, the mountain views from the cabin were breathtaking—a true highlight of our trip. The sounds of rain on the cabin roof during a few storms was also amazing. Check-in: We checked in remotely on our drive up, called the number for Georgia CFY to get the door code. The entrance is through the screened porch. I know another review mentioned this, but I missed it, and we had a hard time getting in initially. We were able to call and get instructions relatively quickly. Other notes: 1) The telescope in the living room doesn’t work (needs cords that aren’t there), but it’s cool to look at and adds to the vibe. The view of the mountains is the star of this place anyway. 2) The king bed is relatively firm, the two queens are relatively soft. Consider bringing your own pillows if you can. 3) Convenient to major groceries, but 4WD/AWD needed if raining. 4) Cabin appears dog friendly, but no yard, back of cabin is steep.
